- Life Threats: triaging live, moulaged patients and and treating life-threatening injuries.
- Medical: wound care, splinting, head to to assessments, etc.
- Search and Rescue: Building size-up and damage assessment, SAR group organization, preparation and member responsibilities, building marking, and search methods.
In each area, coaches will be available to give you immediate feedback and help you polish your skills.
DSW and Liability
All participants, regardless of home jurisdiction, must fill out, sign, and bring with them the Sunnyvale DSW Registration form, to provide Worker’s Compensation insurance in the event of injuries during the event. (Yes, even people already registered with Sunnyvale.) This form is your entrance ticket.
Transportation and Accessibility
If you are coming by car, there is ample parking on site. We do have a number of participants with limited mobility; please leave the closest parking spaces for them.
The closest VTA bus stops are for lines 22 and 522 at El Camino Real and Remington. Also nearby is the stop for line 55 at Sunnyvale-Saratoga and Remington.
Participants with access and functional needs are encouraged to send email to info@scc-cert.org describing the accommodations that would allow them to participate fully in the event. We will make every effort to provide such accommodations. All such requests will be kept confidential.
